Our Beliefs

Statement of Faith

Biblical Authority

We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be written without error, inspired by God, and the only authoritative Word of God for Christian faith and practice.

2 Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21

The Trinity

We believe in one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and holy, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

John 1:1-3, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 2:13

Salvation thought Jesus Christ

We believe that true faith in Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation. That Jesus is the Son of God, coming to earth fully God and fully human, living a sinless life. His substitutionary death, shed blood, and bodily resurrection are necessary and sufficient for the redemption and salvation of all men, both men and women.

Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16, John 14:6

The Nature of Man

We believe God created that man (both men and women) in His own image. The fall of man into sin and disobedience to God has produced divine condemnation. Man cannot earn salvation by his own merit but must, through faith, experience reconciliation in Jesus Christ.

Genesis 1:27, Romans 5:18-21, Ephesians 2:8-9

Reconciliation in Christ

We believe that only those accepting Jesus by repentance of sins and acclamation of the Lordship of Jesus Christ are forgiven and declared righteous by God, thereby receiving eternal life as a free gift of God.

Acts 2:38, Romans 4:5, John 3:16

The True Church

We believe the true Church comprises all persons who have experienced salvation through Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:19-20, 1 Corinthians 3:16, Colossians 3:15

Life in Obedience

We believe believers in Jesus Christ are called to a life of obedience to God’s will, enabled by the Holy Spirit. A key part of this obedience is the fellowship with other believers in and through the local church.

John 14:23, Romans 12:1-2, James 1:22

Christ Second Coming & Eternal Judgment

We believe in Christ's second coming and man's eternal judgment. The redeemed through Christ will experience eternal life in the presence and peace of God. Those not receiving Christ will experience eternal life without God and eternal punishment.

Matthew 25:31-46, Revelation 20:11-15, Revelation 22:20
